It also sounded too much like 21st Century Real Estate to some. They needed a name that would be easy for customers to understand and recognize. The name should also connect to the cellular phone business in some way, especially to cellular phone software applications.

They chose MobileWare because it telegraphed exactly what the product line was all about. It was easy to say and spell and they found they didn't have to spend an excessive amount on brand building to get the name to stick in their prospects' minds.
